On February 1st, Sullivan experienced a sudden and life-threatening brain bleed that required immediate emergency surgery. In the days that followed, Sullivan faced additional challenges, including the need for a lung ECMO placement to support her recovery. Despite these overwhelming obstacles, Sullivan has shown incredible strength and resilience. Even though she remains in the pediatric intensive care unit at UNC Children's Hospital and her prognosis is still uncertain, Sullivan’s fierce determination and fighting personality shines through with each small step forward she takes.

Holly and her family are profoundly grateful for the outpouring of love and support from friends, loved ones, and the entire community. Sullivan’s path to recovery will likely be a marathon, not a sprint. We are raising funds to help Holly and her family be able to focus on being by Sullivan’s side, without the added stress of financial worries. Donations will help cover mounting medical bills, hospital parking fees, transportation to and from the hospital, meals at the hospital or home, and ongoing household expenses and needs for Sullivan’s younger brother, Averitt.

No matter the amount, every donation, kind note, or thoughtful gesture offers comfort and hope to this family as they courageously navigate Sullivan’s recovery journey. If the proceeds exceed their needs, unused funds will be donated back to the PICU at UNC Children's Hospital in honor of the amazing care they provided Sullivan.
