On Easter Sunday, April 12th the unimaginable happened.  The Sullivan family’s home was hit by a tornado in East Brainerd area of Chattanooga. By the grace of God they made it to their tornado shelter literally JUST in time and are safe and healthy. 

This is the SECOND time this family has experienced the traumatic effects of a tornado. Eight years ago Jenna and Laura were in their home when it was directly hit by a tornado in Harrison. We feel so blessed that God has protected them both times with little to no injuries. We are, however having so much trouble wrapping our heads around how this could happen to the sweetest family twice in 8 years. My niece is 10 and has survived two tornadoes in her short life. They’ll need strength, perseverance, support, and as many prayers as possible as they navigate this difficult journey once again. We are so grateful to God that they are healthy and safe.

The outpouring of love, prayers, support and offers for help has meant more to the family than I can truly articulate in words. We are blessed by the community that surrounds this family with so much love. At the moment we are still figuring out next steps and a game plan. The coronavirus makes accepting physical/in-person help difficult as we work to keep everyone healthy. I know so many of you are desperate for ways to help that I thought setting up this fundraiser might be our best bet. We're still assessing the damage to their personal belongings and figuring out their future living situation, but in the meantime your support can be put towards any of their immediate and long term needs.
