Anyone who knows my mom, knows that she isn't just a mother to her children but she is a mother figure to the majority of the people that she meets. She is a mother to my friends, to her neighbors, to my fiancé, and now a grandmother to my daughter and my brothers future son. My mom is the most selfless person I've ever met, always putting others needs before her own. She cares deeply about everyone, and just wants the best for people.
My mom discovered a lump in her chest in late April and quickly went to the doctors, as there is a long line of cancer in the family. She doesn't have insurance and her sister who is a nurse urged her not to wait and to go get the lump checked right away. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, called Lublar Carcinoma which is a rare type of cancer that only happens in about 10% of breast cancer patients. This type of cancer does not respond to chemo therapy, so the recommended treatment is partial Mastectomy or full Mastectomy. Partial being the cheaper route but there is a chance the cancer could return. Surgery is recommended ASAP, and she will need to start radiation; which is 5 days a week for 6 weeks. She has a long road ahead of her, but god has a plan.
These funds will be used for any treatment she needs pertaining to the cancer. Due to her not having insurance and my family having limited savings we are unable to meet the expenses she would need in order to get the proper treatment. Thank you in advance for any contribution. We would also like to thank Aunt Sissy, for being there for us every step of the way!
