Back in July, our cat Suki had knee surgery on her back leg (patellar luxation). Thanks to so many generous people, we were able to cover the almost $6,000 cost.
She’s been doing really well in recovery — she’s been crated for almost two months now and we’ve followed everything the vet told us to do. But last week she suddenly started limping again. After taking her back in and getting X-rays, we found out that the sutures in her knee loosened and she needed another surgery to tighten them.
This second surgery is happening now. It’s thankfully not as major as the first, but it’s still just over $2,000. As a teacher, that’s a tough hit right after already paying for her first surgery.
We love Suki so much and just want her to have the happy, pain-free life she deserves. Any help toward this unexpected second surgery would mean the world to us. Even just sharing this helps a lot. Thank you ❤️
