Cindy is a fun-loving, supportive, selfless mother of 3, Gammy of 7.

1 year ago our Mom was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer. She has battled through several surgeries already and months of chemotherapy and radiation treatment. She is a strong-willed fighter who continuously overcomes the odds and surprises her medical team. Her stubbornness that keeps her going also keeps her from asking for help from anyone. Being self-employed and unwilling to give-in, she has continued to work around her many medical appointments. Though she continues working, her time out of office along with her high deductible insurance have caused a financial burden for her. Her medical team has determined that to survive she must undergo yet another highly-invasive surgery. Recovery from this surgery will require her to be out of work for a minimum of two months. Not wanting to burden her family and friends, she applied for short-term disability but was unfortunately denied.
