Help Us Suit Up the Next Generation of Beekeepers!
We’re back for Beez In The Trap #3 — our Kids Beekeeping Workshop happening this Fall 2025 — and this time, we need your help to make it even more powerful, accessible, and unforgettable.
Gardening and Beats is partnering with local schools like Blue Montessori DC and other community organizations to bring hands-on beekeeping education to Black and Brown youth, teaching them not just how to care for bees, but how bees care for us.
But here’s the buzz —
To keep the program low-cost for families, we need help purchasing kid-sized beekeeping suits so our young stewards can learn safely and confidently.
Why It Matters:
Beekeeping connects kids to nature, food systems, and environmental justice.
It empowers them to explore STEAM topics through real-world experiences.
It builds confidence, leadership, and a deeper love for the Earth.
✨ Most importantly, it shows kids they belong in these spaces — suited up and leading.
Our Goal:
Raise $1,200 to purchase 10–15 high-quality, reusable child-sized beekeeping suits so we can continue offering this program at a low or no cost for families.
This is more than a workshop — it's a movement.
Let’s make sure every child who wants to learn about bees can do so without barriers.
Donate today and BEE the reason a young mind suits up and steps into nature with power and purpose.
