Martin Mera, the mechanic for Wetland Construction, whom so many of us in the Suisun Marsh have relied on over the years was lost in a tragic accident on the train tracks between The Teal Club and the Arnold Ranch last week on his way to repair a long reach excavator that had broken down on a neighboring duck club while repairing levees. His vehicle was struck by an oncoming train at a grade crossing.
Martin’s tragic passing at the age of 46 leaves his wife Cristina and their three children (ages 11, 15, and 17) confronted with a terrible loss. This Memorial for Martin is intended to allow the entire Suisun Marsh community to raise money in support of his children and their education as they move into and through their teenage years having lost their beloved father.
Please join me, The Teal Club, Wetland Construction, SRCD, and the entire Suisun Marsh community in support of one of our own whose tragic loss is widely felt.
Martin’s passing is tragic not only for his loss of life but also for the devastating effects on his family. Please know that any amount—no matter how small—will benefit the Mera family. Your donation will make a significant difference in the lives of Martin’s wife, sons, and daughter. May they live long, happy, and healthy lives with the help of all of us.
