Do you ever wonder what would drive anyone to take their own life? To literally think through a plan of how to do it and then actually do it. Leaving loved ones behind to think why, what did we do wrong, or just to leave them to sit with the grief, loss and crushing guilt?

13 year old Qudsiyah planned and jumped to her death in front of her sick father, a devastating statement of frustration that left a family broken. Could this have been avoided...I believe so.

Most of the time these suicidal feelings of lonely hopelessness, leave a dark hole on both sides, do we ever know for sure where and how life gets us to where we are, is it luck or judgement.

We will never know the truth of how these poor people felt, but death, loss and grief are uneasy bedfellows. What I do know is that all of these people who left this world and who were left behind, needed someone, someone they could talk to, to unload their heavy heart and try to make sense of the dark thoughts in their mind, to think loud and to be heard without being judged.

Admitting they are lost, asking for help and opening up to family members can feel daunting, especially when they are reminded of how lucky they are compared to some people in this world. Sadly that doesn't help people lost in the dark, but what does help is an open ear and someone to help them make sense of their pain.

This is where this fund raiser aims to help those people who maybe cannot afford the support they deserve.
