SUHC Fundraiser 2021-2022

*Alumni, Parents and Prospective Donors*

 

As you hopefully know the Sheffield University Hockey club (SUHC) is the largest sports society at the University of Sheffield generally containing around 250 members. This is made up of 5 women’s and 4 men’s BUCS teams, alongside 2 development squads.

 

We also boast a strong presence around the university, taking part in regular fundraising events for local charities and holding weekly socials at our sponsor Revs and then the university sports night, making the club a formative part of many members university experiences both on and off the pitch.

 

Being such a big club with members of a range of playing abilities and backgrounds, we are passionate about our responsibility to keep our club accessible for everyone.  However, hockey isn’t cheap and support from the university is limited, so despite support from our existing sponsors, the knock-on effect of the pandemic has led to additional costs being passed directly onto our members.

 

For this reason, we are asking you as parents, alumni or any prospective donors for help in this unusual year to enable us keep costs down so that hockey can continue to be afforded by all members. With the money raised we would look to making the overall cost of playing lower- including membership fees, kit and transport to and from Norton.  

 

As part of this push, we are offering tiered donations for prospective donors. While these incentives are here to encourage donations, they do not have to be claimed and donations can be made separately. Below you can see what we are prepared to offer, although all donations are gratefully accepted.

 

Bronze - suggested £20 donation

Silver - suggested £70 donation

Gold - suggested donation £150

Platinum - suggested donation £300+
