It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Sugra on 14th August 2025.

Sugra was the life of the party. She lived through music; always dancing, always singing and always reminding us to celebrate life to the fullest. Sugra had a gift for making everyone around her feel uplifted and ready to party the night away. Music wasn't just a passion, it was her language of love, connection and joy.

In February this year, Sugra celebrated one of the happiest moments of her life: marrying her wife, Shaleen. Their love was joyful and inspiring - a testament to living authentically and fearlessly. She now leaves behind her grieving wife, who must face this unimaginable loss far too soon.

Coming from a Muslim background where it was often stigmatised, she stood boldly in her truth, breaking barriers and paving the way for future generations. She never wavered in standing up for what she believed in: love, authenticity and acceptance. She is the proof that you can embrace culture, religion, sexual orientation and whatever else your heart desires all at once.

We want to honour Sugra with a farewell that reflects the vibrancy of her life - one filled with music, colour, laughter, beer (of course!) and the love of her community. This loss was sudden and these costs were unexpected. Funds raised will go directly towards the service and wake expenses as we navigate this heart breaking time. If you are able to contribute, please know that every donation will help us to give Sugra the beautiful send off she deserves. If you can't, sharing this page and carrying her spirit forward means just as much.

To know Sugra was to feel her energy - her laughter, her kindness and her infectious spirit. Sugra was a wife, sister, aunty and proud pet mum to Burley, Pop and Fizz, but most of all, she was a friend.

Please spread the word and join us to have one big, loud and proud party to celebrate Sugra, the beautiful soul that we were so lucky to know.
