Sugery gone wrong. Justice for Bella

Hi, my name is Denise. This is my dog Bella and I'm about to tell you her story. Bella had a mass in her mammary gland and a local vet said it needed to be removed and suggested a spay. So of course we set up surgery for July 13, 2022. We drop Bella off at 8am and they said they would call us when they was done. All day I waited. 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, and all this time I'm freaking out because I worry about everything. However I didn't want to bug them. So I made myself wait till 430pm and I finally called to check on her. The receptionist says she had surgery and the doc will be calling me. Literally 2 minutes later I get a call from the doc. Excited to hear the news me and my kids stand around the phone while it's on speaker and she's telling me how the surgery went well and how there wasn't a lot of bleeding. But, after they closed her up she started bleeding and they dont know how to stop it. I quickly take It off speaker because I don't want my kids to hear what She's saying. She said your going to have to come get her and take her somewhere bigger. Now at this point we are at Walmart shopping and im freaking out. She said she was going to call another hospital and then call me back. Another quick 2 minutes passed and they call. They say you have to come right now and get her! Thank god my mom just happen to be at Walmart and I tell her take my kids and my brother to my house I have to get Bella. I fly there and I'm waiting for them to bring her out. I'm completely hysterical at this point! I asked is my dog going to die in the backseat of my car? They said we can't awnser that. They finally get her in my back seat and they said go! I left driving with one hand on the wheel, one hand reached behind me holding her ice hold head. She was so cold and trying to look at me. Trying to lift her head and it kept flopping down. Crying my eyes out begging God not to let my dog die. We get to Northview animal hospital in North Ridgeville Ohio. They rush her back, put me in a room and then I waited. They come in and tell me Bella is in shock and critical condition and there is no middle of the road she needs blood transfusions and they quickly figured out she had a clotting disorder and was pretty much bleeding out from the surgery. And would die over night They gave us a estimate of 5,000 and wanted half up front to start. They said there is no middle of the road either we start treatment or she dies. So we gave them every dollar we had to start. Close to 2,500. We left not knowing what would happen. They didn't know If it would even work but we had to try because she's our baby. So they kept her almost 3 days where she kept getting better. Good news but now we have to come up with the rest of the money for her to come home. We did and she come home on Friday. They put a tube in her belly to drain all the blood that was in there from the surgery. We pick her up on friday and she was in bad condition and they said it's going to be a long road. Also her paw was starting to swell and they thought it was from the catheter. Sat, sun we take her in to get bandage changes 95$ a day. Also her paw is getting bigger and bigger. Then Monday she had a appointment with a vet there they said she needed to be re admitted and they gave us a estimated of 5300$ and at that point we'd had already gave them over 5000$ in 3 days. We don't have it. So they gave her different meds and send her home and the appointment cost was 1,126. Hopefully she makes it. She thrived all week getting better. And everyday we kept going in and getting her belly bandages changed. Her paw kept swelling and then started leaking blood and fluid. They still think it has something to do with all the plasma and the catheter. Friday I take her in for another bandage change and they said she looked the best they've seen her expect for the paw and keep doing what I'm doing. So sat morning I notice a smell from the paw. And it's cracked across the top and turning black. So Monday I call them and they tell me to bring her in Tuesday for a possible drain removal and stitches and they would look at her paw. We go and they said it's sloughing and now they think it was infected and all the skins going to fall off. They teach us how to change the dressing at home to save us money and to bring her in Friday for them to access it. Friday we go and they sedate her to cut off all the dead skin and meat and they called to say bad news. It's down to the bone on 2 toes maybe more. But 2 for sure. Its not if she needs surgery but when. Now we've already spend 8,000$ on her. We have all the bills coming on the 1st and we don't know what to do. If she needs just the 2 toes amputated it will be close to 3grand. She survived when we all thought she wouldn't! Please help us help Bella raise the money for her amputation. Anything helps. You can donate directly to her account at Northview animal clinic in North Ridgeville oh. Or here on this gofund me. Me and Kevin work very hard to be where we are at today. We just need a little help. We don't want to say goodbye yet. Especially when she's came so far. Please help us help Bella.
