SUGAR AND BLOOD

1903.

The Women's Social and Political Union (WSPU) is formed in Manchester - but not everyone agrees with change.

Far from the protests, four women are fighting their own personal battle searching for truth. A body has gone missing. And the blood is on all their hands. This is not a question of who committed the crime - everyone's guilty of that. The question is who took the body and why? And what will be the consequences?

A murder mystery, but different.

We have come back with an exciting new production called Sugar and Blood, which is really important to us as it creates a feminist discussion about past and present themes relating to women’s rights, creating a bridge between political discussions and thrilling entertainment through our murder mystery concept. As an all-female-run theatre company, we not only aim to make theatre for women but also for wider and inclusive audiences to raise awareness of essential social issues, which will be debuting this year at Edinburgh Fringe, Zoo Venues Playground 1.

As we are a Liverpool based theatre company, the money raised would solely accommodate the set's transportation and hiring of transport to carry from Liverpool to Edinburgh and back.
