Suffering From Lyme Disease
Donation protected
I hate having to do this but it's time to swallow my pride and ask for help. I've recently been diagnosed with Lyme disease but have been suffering from it for three years now. As it turns out, Lyme disease is a poor mans nightmare. Dealing with the Canadian health system, which is know to be top notch, has also been a nightmare. It refuses to acknowledge Lyme in all it's seriousness and refuses to cover any kind of treatment or proper testing. Every Lyme victim I've met has the same medical horror story. Being in debt due to medical bills in Canada was unheard of to me until now, I don't even feel Canadian anymore. There's a treatment called ozone therapy which is incredible and will put me on the fast track to getting 100%, but, it's completely unaffordable. It may cost up to $7000 and for some of my Lyme treatment I won't be able to work and applying for disability doesn't look good. I never thought I would say, in Canada I need to be rich to get better. Even a handful of these treatments will make a huge difference in my recovery. I don't expect to even raise half of my goal but anything helps! Thanks so much for reading my story!!!
