My name is Kate, and I’m creating this page on behalf of my mom, Sue.

My mom urgently needs both of her knees replaced. For years, she’s put her own health on hold to care for her family, but the pain has now become unbearable. Whether she’s walking or simply sitting, she is in constant discomfort.

We’ve found a surgeon who will create custom knee implants tailored to her body’s needs. The plan is to replace one knee at a time, with about three months of recovery between surgeries. In total, she’ll need an estimated six months off work to heal.

Here’s the challenge: my mom is self-employed and runs her own cleaning business. While she’s recovering, she’ll have no income at all. Without financial help, taking the necessary time off simply isn’t possible.

These surgeries will be truly life-changing for her, giving her the ability to live without pain and fully enjoy life again, especially precious moments with her granddaughter.
