Sue’s fight with Inflammatory Breast Cancer
Donation protected
Cancer. A word, not a sentence.
Every two minutes, a woman is diagnosed with Breast Cancer.
On July 12, 2022, our mom was given that diagnosis. But for those of you that know Susan "Sue" Soper - you know she never goes quietly or does things halfway; she was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive form - (IBC) Inflammatory Breast Cancer and she is HER2 positive.
This means the cancer is in her skin cells and lymph nodes and is considered stage 3.
The initial treatment plan includes six rounds (one day, every three weeks) of chemo, mastectomy, radiation and then 14 more rounds of targeted chemo treatment.
This is a marathon - not a sprint.
We share this news to our friends and family to ask for help. We all know she has a huge heart and will help anyone in anyway she possibly can. The last thing we want her to worry/stress about is money during her treatment.
She doesn’t like to ask for help, nor do we. Being sick is expensive, so we are putting together this campaign to help ease some of her burdens as she walks through this unknown territory towards beating this…thing.
Please help if you can. She will have alot of unpaid time off of work, out of pocket expenses and she will have to meet out of pocket max twice as her treatment will travel into the new plan year.
Thank you all for your support! Take care and we will be in touch! ❤️
