Sueno de Dios, Our Dream of a Lifetime

Donation protected
Everyday we wake up with a fresh new breath of air or blink of an eye. However, this is not always true for everyone. On January 8th a new life was brought into this world. At 25 weeks and 2 days; Sueno Deseo de Dios was born. After His mother Cristina began pre-term labor due to a car accident a couple days prior. The first two weeks of his life things seemed to be as normal as they could be for being preterm, until January 30th. His mothers, Cristina and Ana de Dios got the life changing call that their son needed to be life-flighted to primary children’s hospital due to complications of a condition called septic shock. During this time the hospital came to see that Sueno’s sodium was out of control at a level of 218. Meanwhile, the sepsis infection he soon became too familiar with, caused him to retain all bodily fluids and therefore resulted in inflammation and a weight gain of almost 3 times his body weight. On March 3rd, Sueno’s lungs were constantly collapsing and were not able to continue the fight. Just 54 days of being on this earth, Sueno de Dios passed away allowing heaven to gain another angel. While there was so many tests and medical observations occurring every day, it was soon too overwhelming for our little fighter. Sueno was a dream come true for his mother’s but was called to heaven to be with his Nana. In the duration of his time in the hospital his mothers were constantly by his bedside and stayed with him all day and all night. They were able to see the joy within their son and their lives will forever be touched by him. With every moment they shared together as a family Sueno was able to show what a feisty little attitude he had within him just like his Mommas. During his time here on earth Sueno has shown us such bravery and strength everyday that only he could give us. The goal of this GoFundMe is to be able to share Sueno’s story and to help his mothers with funeral costs and services in medical bills that soon have been grossly accumulating. We will continue to carry on his story and love within each beat of our hearts, Sueno will forever be apart of his family’s life and has created an everlasting love bonded by his bravery and courageousness. As unexpected as this was, he fought every day and every night and yet, for that there are no words except “La Vida Es Un Sueno”.
