My name is Elvina Smajlagic daughter of Emin Muratovic. My dad was diagnosed with prostate and lung cancer last year. He has been in and out of hospital for months. We have finally finished his chemotherapy and now he has been doing immunotherapy. This therapy is every month and it’s very expensive and he has to do it for the next 2 years. His insurance covers a lot of it but there is still a drastic bill to pay every month on top of the previous bills from hospitals stays, emergency room visits, MRI’s, Scans and chemotherapy. He’s continuing treatment and along with lung and prostate cancer now he’s dealing with brain cancer. Couple of months ago they found 2 and they got rid of them. He went for another scan 2 weeks ago and they found 2 new ones. He went in for surgery to get those removed as well. We are awaiting MRI in month and a half to see if it worked. We have seen his prostate doctor and the numbers have risen a bit more than previous blood work. Check up is again in 3 months to keep an eye on it. If the numbers go up he will have to get an injection to suppress the prostate cancer. I am asking for your help and the help of our community to help my parents with medical expenses so they are put at ease and my dad can continue to get better. His lung and prostate were almost at a 0 but the numbers are going back up. My mom is the only one working and trying her best to pay for all the house bills, but still need help paying for medical expenses. My brother and I are helping them as much as we can. With so many bills to come we are asking the help of our community to help our parents with my dads medical expenses, mortgage and any upcoming bills. His treatment will continue and as long he continues he will be able to stay alive and be in our lives a bit longer. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your help and generosity!
