Help Susan Re-Defeat Cancer
Donation protected
This is Susan Makower:

As a mother of two, she has worked tirelessly for the past 25 years in order to provide the best lives for her sons, Matthew, 23, and Joshua, 21. In addition to being a wonderful mother and overall person, she is also a survivor.
About 15 years ago, Susan was diagnosed with breast cancer. Despite her needing radiation treatments after work, she was still able to keep a strong attitude and, after months of difficult treatment, was able to beat her cancer.
However, her health struggles continued. At around the same time, she was diagnosed with Crohn's disease, a disease of the gastrointestinal tract that can be extremely painful on any given hour of any given day.
This did not stop Susan from continuing her life to provide for her family. She continues to work five days per week to ensure her family's comfort.
Yet, despite her countless selfless acts, Susan's health has hit another major snag. In October, Susan was informed of something nobody, especially survivors, wants to hear: unfortunately, her cancer has returned.
Unlike last time, she is unable to go through radiation again, and will undergo a mastectomy in early February, and will be out of work for at least two months for recovery.
While this has obviously largely and negatively impacted the Makower family, it is also a chance for us, with your help, to give back to a woman who has always put herself last and others first.
With your help, we can give Susan one of the most helpful holiday and birthday (Dec. 26) gifts possible: the comfort of financial security combined with the knowledge of having a large support group in a most difficult time.
The money raised will go to paying medical bills and any necessary aid for recovery. We have set our goal high, as any un-used funds will be donated to breast cancer research in Susan's name.
Thank you all for your support, and together we can take a difficult time and make it that much easier for our family, Susan, and eventually all breast cancer patients.
All the best,
The Makower Family
