Hello, my name is Suellen, I am 29 years old and I have been living in Dublin for almost two years. I came as an English student, a dream I had since I was a teenager.

At the beginning of June 2025, I noticed a lump in my left breast and a change in its appearance. I scheduled an appointment with a GP and, during the consultation, I was referred to the Mater Misericordiae to undergo imaging exams and a biopsy.

Then, on July 10th, 2025, I received the diagnosis of stage 2 breast cancer. Since then, I have been undergoing chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatment; in total, I have already had more than 10 sessions, which have left me quite debilitated.

Unfortunately, the Irish government does not provide sick pay for students, and I must cover all my expenses — rent, electricity, groceries, medication — throughout the treatment. At the beginning of next year, I will undergo a bilateral mastectomy, followed by continued immunotherapy sessions.

Since the treatment is long, I created this fundraiser to collect donations that will be essential in this journey. Any contribution is very welcome, whether small or large, as well as help in sharing it so it can reach as many people as possible.

I remain confident, with faith, and certain that I will come out of this stronger than ever!

Olá, me chamo Suellen, tenho 29 anos e moro em Dublin há quase 2 anos. Vim como estudante de inglês, um sonho que eu tinha desde a adolescência.

No começo de junho de 2025, notei um caroço no meu seio esquerdo e uma alteração na mama. Marquei uma consulta com um GP e, durante a avaliação, fui encaminhada para o Mater Misericordiae para realizar exames de imagem e biópsia.

Foi então que, no dia 10 de julho de 2025, recebi o diagnóstico de câncer de mama em estágio 2. Desde então, venho fazendo tratamento com quimioterapia e imunoterapia; ao todo já foram mais de 10 sessões, que têm me deixado bastante debilitada.

Infelizmente, o governo irlandês não dispõe de auxílio-doença para estudantes, e eu preciso arcar com todas as despesas — aluguel, energia, mercado, remédios — durante todo o tratamento. No começo do ano que vem, serei submetida a uma cirurgia de mastectomia bilateral, além da continuidade das sessões de imunoterapia.

Como o tratamento é longo, criei esta vaquinha para arrecadar doações que serão fundamentais nesta caminhada. Qualquer contribuição será muito bem-vinda, seja ela pequena ou grande, assim como a ajuda na divulgação para que chegue ao maior número possível de pessoas.
