Sue Mokrynka Funeral expenses and Memorial

7/17/52-2/10/23 Our loving sister, mother, grandmother, wife, aunt, and friend has passed away after a long battle with bladder cancer. I’m Eydie, Sue’s little sister, some of you reading this have known me as long as you have known Sue. My world is not as bright today without my sister here. Sue was diagnosed with bladder cancer 2 years ago and never wavered in her faith and strength to conquer this disease. After being misdiagnosed several times, she received her diagnosis while the world was in the middle of a pandemic. Getting medical intervention was made more difficult and delays added to the severity and progression of the cancer. That never stopped Sue, she opted for surgical intervention along with many rounds of chemotherapy and radiation. Always optimistic, it was only weeks ago when she was told the cancer had advanced and there was no more treatment available. I was with her during every step of this journey and she was so grateful for the support of her family and lifelong friends that reached out and supported her. She wanted everyone to know how much this meant to her and how much she loved each of you. Sue was always committed to taking care of her family before all else. She worked to support those close to her until surgery prevented her from going back to her job. She was then (separated) from her company job because they couldn’t hold her position any longer. Unfortunately this placed a strain on finances and left her without benefits she would have been able to receive after being a loyal employee for so many years. Bladder cancer is a devastating and painful disease which is on the rise. I personally know several others who have or are currently suffering from this cancer. With this fundraiser I hope to help the family with funeral expenses to make this difficult time easier in any way possible and also make a donation in Sue’s name to BCAN for continued research for bladder cancer. Sue always wanted to help everyone throughout her life and never wanted to burden family or friends so know that any donation is appreciated and gratefully accepted. Her heart is with all of you.
