Sue Lyons’s and her sweet dog, Scout.

Hi, my name is Ann and there isn’t a dog I don’t like. My four dogs love to go to the Quail Run Dog Park in Mesa, AZ , which is where I met Scout, Jack and Sue. I wasn’t there on the day it happened, Wed., July 20, in the morning, but little Scout was attacked for no reason by Molly, a much bigger dog. Others at the park ran to rescue Scout and saw the incident. Sue was in shock as she carried a limp Scout to her car. She did show Molly’s owner Scouts body and asked if his dog did this. He replied his dog never attacked another dog ,but others have said that’s not true. He told Sue to take Scout home and was him off , he would be fine. Sue’s regular vet told her to go to the emergency VCA veterinary service and set it up so they would be waiting for her and Scout. Scout was in the hospital for three days. She had to be placed in an oxygen tent as all his ribs were broken and still wears a wrap for at least a month. The puncture wounds were deep but are not infected. Ten pound Scout has lost weight, but is gaining it back.

Fortunately, Scout will heal. Thank goodness for the VCA. Unfortunately, it is very expensive. Molly’s owner refuses to take any responsibility for this attack even though Sue would not expect him to pay for the full amount. He has not come back to the dog park since.

Sue does not have unlimited funds to pay these vet bills. I am asking as a fellow dog lover for help for Sue to pay for Scouts care which so far has amounted to $5,500.

Neither Sue nor I have ever done this so forgive us both for our mistakes in whatever we have messed up on here..

Any help you can give this lovely person and sweet little dog will be so appreciated. All funds will be used to pay VCA bill for Scout.
