Sue King, 65, has been having an ongoing battle with cancer since 2008. In October of 2018 she was dealt with the crushing news that she has stage 4 colon cancer, which has spread to her liver and she can no longer seek treatment. Every person's nightmare that they do not want to hear about there loved one, this family has to now currently live.
Sue has been fighting this battle with strength and grace for years. She has been in and out of remission since her first diagnosis in 2008. Many people wouldn’t even know that she was going through such a difficult time due to always being herself, smiling, joking and putting everyone else’s needs first. Sue has a beautiful family that she’s made with her loving husband for many, many years, Bill King, who has never left her side throughout this rollercoaster ride of a battle she has been facing. She has two beautiful daughters Kristy King, Nikki (Nick) Schillig, Mollie King, and her granddaughter Abbie Smith, who she loves more than anything in this world.
I can’t even begin to put into words how special of a woman this beautiful soul is. Her daughter Kristy requires full time care from her mother which Sue has done Kristy’s whole life with never complaining and just loving to be able to care for her daughter. Mollie is my best friend and just for that reason Sue has loved me and my family just because her daughter loves me. I went through a terrible loss in my immediate family and during Sue’s own battle she still made the time to support me and my family during the loss of my sister. She loves with every ounce of her body and will give anyone her own shirt off of her back. She loves and accepts everyone for whom they are with no judgements and will help anyone at any time if she possibly can. This woman is the definition of a loyal, loving mother and friend to anyone that knows her. I only hope that one day we could all be even half of a person that Suzie is and I know the world would be a much better place.
Due to this heart wrenching news I am hoping that we as a community, family and friends of Sue’s can help out this beautiful family by taking some of the financial burden off of them. Since 2008 Sue has gone through weekly blood transfusions, surgeries, hospitalizations, chemo, multiple doctor visits and other medical expenses that they will endure. Sue is currently in Cleveland Clinic right now with an infection and had to have another surgery to put a drain in. In the months to come she will also have ongoing medical bills and medical procedures that some will not be covered under insurance.
Sue always puts everyone else’s needs before her own, a loving hand on a needing shoulder, or a joke to put a smile on a sad face. Let’s show her what love and support she can get from all of us, even just by sharing this story! Please help me spread the word of this beautiful family so we can get the word out and try to help ease some of this family’s medical bills that they are going to be receiving. They have so much on their plate right now let's try to give them something to not have to worry about in these long, tough months and we try to help them financially. Any donation helps.
