EDIT: As of today, 8/26/23, Sue and Walt have to move yet again. They were told they cannot have their stand in a residential area after signing the lease. They already have paid deposits for utilities and paid for moving expenses, which they will have to do again at a new location. They are very worried about paying their bills.
I’m Jenny Leon, a teacher in Ellijay and I know Sue and Walt from stopping in to buy the freshest produce. As I’m sure you have heard or seen, Paw Paw’s Produce is in the process of moving. I spoke with Sue and know she is so grateful that they were able to find a new location (thank you, Talona Ridge!) after their monthly rent at their former location rose to well beyond their means.
But Sue and Pawpaw could really use some assistance with moving expenses as they have to move their building to the new location, 75 Highland Hill Drive (past the theater, across from the medical plaza). This is coupled with the cost of having to restock all the produce and pay deposits for utilities. Anything would help. Goal is $3500.
Paw Paw is physically unable to help so Sue has been moving and taking care of things on her own in this extreme heat. She is exhausted. They have to dig a a trench for electric and rebuild the porch. If anyone can help with the physical part, they would be so grateful!
Please message me for Sue’s number if you would like to contact her regarding support.
Thank you all so much!!
