This tragic incident has left our family reeling and struggling to make sense of it all. Jamal is a loving son, brother, and fantastic father of eight beautiful babies. He has already been through so much in the past year, winning a settlement against former Mayor Robert O'Dekirk for being assaulted at a peaceful protest in the summer of 2021. Now, he faces mounting legal fees and medical expenses, not to mention the challenge of supporting his children after this devastating event. We are still seeking answers from the police about the circumstances that led to this outcome, but in the meantime, we are doing everything we can to support Jamal and his family.
