I know I’ve been asking for prayers a lot, but we got a call back from moms Dr last night regarding her pathology results from last Thursday’s surgery. 14 of the 21 lymph nodes came back positive for cancer. She was diagnosed with stage 3 and will be getting a port and starting chemotherapy as soon as her body heals. We don’t really have much more information until she does her official follow up with her surgeon on Tuesday. For now, I’m asking for help to cover her bills while she’s unable to work. This was completely unexpected and has rocked and changed her entire world! She is unable to work now and, if she is able to return, it will be quite a ways down the road. If y’all didn’t know, Pam Britton raised all her children on her own, with ZERO help from either fathers. She did whatever it took to make sure we were always taken care of. As we became adults, she still continues to try to take care of us and our children. She is always giving so much to everyone else and saving the scraps for herself. She’s got the biggest heart and would literally give you her most prized possession if she thought it would put a smile on your face, for even just a moment. She’s an amazing granny and the kids just love her so much! She’s the sister everyone can depend on. The significant other that turns the house into a home. The mother that’s always making miracles happen. The granny that signifies what a grandparent is, from the roots to the tops of the mountains. She’s literally everything and she doesn’t deserve this…. BUT I KNOW SHE’S STRONG ENOUGH TO CONQUER THIS & so does God So please, pray for her. For strength. For rest. For positive mental thoughts. For loving space. For a quick recovery. For life to go back to normal. And, for her to live HER dreams. For her. And let her experience be your warning… GO. GET. TESTED. Mom had NO symptoms. No fatigue or exhaustion. No pain or bowel changes. No unexplained weight loss or gain. Nothing. This was caught by chance and it’s already stage 3! GO. NOW.
