Sudden Passing of Lt. Rivera's Mother

Station 14 is working to support our Lieutenant, Lt. Jon Rivera, after the sudden passing of his Mother that occurred on June 1st, 2022.

Lt. Rivera has spent 16 years with FDNY EMS, most recently assigned as a Lieutenant to Battalion 14. He was a valued member of the FDNY EMS Special Operations Command, active Rescue Paramedic, active Rescue/HAZTAC

instructor. He proudly represents the Department frequently on the FDNY EMS Competition Team and is well-respected amongst his peers and Members.

Personally, Jon goes out of his way to lend his support and help to anyone. He consistently endeavours to make the Station environment more favourable for our Members and leads with the utmost support to all who work in the South Bronx.

EMS is a giant family. I ask that we band together in this challenging time to relieve him of as much stress as we can while he grieves his Mom's sudden passing.
