We are raising funds to support our friend and her children following the sudden passing of Greg Childers. His unexpected death has created immediate and long-term financial challenges for the family. As they adjust to this new reality, there are ongoing expenses to consider.

“It is with great sadness that we share that Greg Childers, 55, passed away unexpectedly February 18, 2026, in Decatur, Illinois.

He was a devoted father to his children, a man with a big heart, and a sharp sense of humor. He will be remembered for his dedication to his children, his generosity, and the love he showed his family.

Greg is survived by his children, Oscar, 14, Jovie, 10, and Arlo, 7, and his adult children, Samuel, Nathan, Hannah, and Jaxon Rueb; and (though separated and no longer coupled), his wife of 15 years, Audrey; his siblings, and extended family and friends.

Per his request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Audrey Childers to help support his children during this time of transition.”
