Sudden Need To Replace My Car

My name is Brian, and this is my 2012 Kia Forte. Cut down in the prime of life, with a mere 188k miles under its belt. I'd hoped it would be with me for another 50k miles- another 3 years or so.

 

The insurance payout will be minimal and my budget doesn't include any funds for a replacement. I'm living off early Social Security, freelance projects, and delivering restaurant orders for one of those apps. My housemate works in the Hospitality industry; neither of us has much savings.

 

A reliable vehicle is helpful for grocery shopping, medical treatments and visiting folks out of town, but is 'mission critical' for continuing the restaurant deliveries.

Short of a surprise donation of $30k for a brand new Kia Soul, I need to at least find a reliable vehicle.
