We have learned that our friend Fissah experienced a medical emergency and passed away unexpectedly last night.  We are heartbroken. 

We met Fissah, his wife Asnakech and their two young children at church.  They had recently arrived from Ethiopia.  Despite the language barrier, we became friends.  The photo we've shared is of their family with our kids and Goddaughter on the day they came over and decorated our Christmas tree with us a couple of years ago.

Soon afterwards, the children became students at my school because we have an excellent Language Academy program for new arrivals to our country.   Their beautiful children (grades 3 & 1) are flourishing at school. 

We have created this Go Fund Me to garner the generosity of our community to support our friends with funeral costs, medical bills and living expenses.
