Yesterday, I had to say goodbye to my sweet fur baby boy. I'm absolutely heartbroken.

I came home after work to find both his legs paralyzed. He was foaming at the mouth and meowing in pain. I rushed him to the emergency vet, and they discovered he had a heart condition with a clot blocking blood flow to his legs, and another clot in his heart. The vet said there was nothing they could do and that it would be best to put him down. Yesterday, I had to say goodbye to one of my best friends.

He was more than just a cat - he was family. He had been with me through life’s ups and downs, from when he was a tiny baby with two bald spots to the big, sweet, playful boy he became. He loved headbutting things, causing a little mischief, and cuddling when I needed it most. I’m so grateful for every moment I got to share with him, and losing him so suddenly feels unbearable.

The medical expenses from his sudden illness and passing have put me in a difficult financial place. The emergency vet bill came to just over $1,300, covering examination, testing, euthanasia, end-of-life care, and cremation. I am currently balancing full-time school and part-time work, and this unexpected cost has created additional financial strain.
