Sudden Illness - Special Family Needs Help

Hi, my name is Sherri and I am raising funds for my niece Alissa “Brooke” Haskins and her family. Due to her husband Brad's sudden illness she is in need of financial assistance to keep his handyman business going and cover the basic living expenses until he can get back on his feet after a sudden, serious and ongoing medical situation. 

Brad is the sweetest man you will ever meet, wonderful husband "Bubbs" to Brooke, and loving father to a beautiful blended family.

Brad Palenchar went to Urgent Care on September 28th complaining of severe nausea and vertigo. After examination, the doctor sent him to Loma Linda University Medical Center for a CT scan which showed a brain tumor on his brain stem. Though a common slow growing tumor, it was in a very uncommon area of the brain that left him with 75% chance of complications after surgery to remove it. Since the tumor was blocking the flow of cerebral fluid to the brain, Brad had swelling of the brain (aka hydrocephalus) which was causing the nausea and vertigo. Brad needed surgery right away. Brad went into surgery on Friday, October 1st, and underwent a 10 hour surgery. He developed post-op pneumonia within a couple of days and was put on a ventilator which he is still on today. The post-op period has been very difficult, complicated and touch and go.

Brad has a business that Brooke is trying her best to run while he is in the hospital, especially since he is critical and on a ventilator. She needs some funding to continue the work commitments Brad has going right now as well as to cover the basic living expenses. Brooke has also been trying to work, yet it is difficult since she is spending long days at the hospital with Brad who has been in ICU for over 3 weeks and he continues to experience serious complications. Although his prognosis is still unknown, it is anticipated that he will likely need to go to inpatient rehab for some time before returning home. 

Brooke and Brad are self proclaimed "soul mates" that are trusting Jesus to provide for Brad's recovery and the well being of their family during this difficult time. If you are able to help Brooke and Brad's family any amount would be and blessing and greatly appreciated.
