SUCKIN DIESEL is a new Irish play by Holly Furey (MAY DAY, winner of the 2023 Solas Nua New Voices award). In order to get the production up and running for its September debut in Dublin’s Smock Alley, we need your support to fundraise for cast, crew and venue costs.

SUCKIN DIESEL is a new surrealist comedy set in Tallaght Hospital during a remarkable spring. It follows the journey of GOOD GURL, kept on a ward against her will. During this well-lit stay in her own personal hell, GOOD GURL gets to know her fellow inpatients, comes to terms with her personal failings (including one or two crimes against the State), and pretty much solves all the issues facing women in Ireland today. Great job, GOOD GURL!

Your support will go towards the cost of venue insurance, wages for 5 actors, our director, costume designer, set designer and lighting designer. This is an entirely self funded project.

A rehearsed reading of SUCKIN DIESEL took place earlier this year in Smock Alley Theatre as part of the Scene + Heard Festival of New Work. This was part funded by the Agility Award from Arts Council Ireland.
