Suck Valley Way in a Day
Donation protected
My name is John Fitzmaurice. I grew up in Castlerea and now live in Fuerty, Co. Roscommon.
At the moment I am training for and hope to run The Suck Valley Way in a Day, 115km, on Saturday 5th June 2021, to raise funds for Mayo Roscommon Hospice, Palliative Care Nursing Services.
The Suck Valley Way is a beautiful trail which follows the River Suck connecting the villages and towns of Castlecoote, Athleague, Ballygar, Creggs, Glinsk, Ballymoe, Castlerea, Ballintubber and Donamon. The trail is a lovely mix of bogs, woods, fields, and country roads, and is accessible to everyone. More information on the trail can be found on discoversuckvalleyway
We, as a family, like many others, are aware of and grateful for the support that Palliative Care Nurses provide to patients and their families. Their work enables patients, where possible, to be cared for in their own homes with dignity and comfort. All funds raised will be used by Mayo Roscommon hospice to support these nurses in the wonderful work they do. Find out more about Mayo Roscommon Hospice here https://www.hospice.ie/
I would really appreciate your support, so come and say hello on the day, anywhere along the route.
