Subway Churros Ain't Going Nowhere
Don protégé
If they won't let churro vendors sell the churros, we are going to buy the churros, and let the vendors give them away!
In the past week two women have been arrested for selling churros in the NYC subway. Elsa had been selling churros in and around subway stations for three years to feed her five children. The police arrested her, took everything away from her, and to add insult to injury during the arrest they took her to an area where there were no cameras and began to laugh to her plight. Another woman in similar circumstances was arrested days after Elsa.
This is part of the MTA and Gov. Cuomo's plan to crack down on low level offenses. They are spending billions to hire more police to make these useless arrests. Meanwhile, our subways are getting worse with more delays and interrupted service.
This GoFundMe is for churro vendors. The money will go directly to vendors. The vendors on average make about $50 per day. For ten days straight, we will buy all of the churros from 10 vendors each morning, and the vendors will then go on the subway and give away their day's worth of churros.
NYC Subway Churros ain't going nowhere. Chew on that.
