#SubmitTheStigma Charity Seminar

Help make mental health a priority in our Jiu Jitsu community! Please donate and check out the whole story at www.submitthestigma.org
Easton Training Center Denver is hosting a #SubmitTheStigma Jiu Jitsu seminar to benefit the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), which educates and advocates on behalf of people with mental illness and their families. Mental illness takes many forms, and affects nearly one in five Americans, but often people are afraid to talk about their struggles becaue of the pervasive social stigma. Our goal is to bring these issues out into the open so people feel empowered to seek help.
Offer a friend a supportive ear, share your own story, and join us on Saturday December 3, 2016 12 PM - 3 PM to learn some great tequniques from Neil Magny, Foster Bailey, Cody Donovan and Cat Zingano.
All donations collected will go directly to NAMI. The suggested donation to attend the seminar is $25, but please consider donating even if you're unable to attend! You must include your name with your donation so that I can keep track of everyone who will be attending. Our goal is to raise $5,000 so please spread the word!!
There will also be giveaways and auction items from the best people and brands in Jiu Jitsu. These will be announced shortly!
Additionally, NAMI will have a representative present at the charity seminar who will give a 15-20 minute talk about the education, support and advocacy they provide to those with mental health and their families. You can learn more about them at www.nami.org
If you have found Jiu Jitsu to benefit your mental health please consider sharing your story on the webite www.submitthestigma.org
