Help us raise funds to support our gorgeous friend and iconic Brighton performer Subira Joy during their top surgery recovery!

Our wonderful pal and comrade Subira has finally been given a date for top surgery via the NHS - and it is coming up very, very soon (really soon).

Subira didn't get much warning, which has meant that they haven't been able to budget and save money for the time they will be off work in recovery.

As a freelance artist and hospitality veteran, Subira won't get much sick pay and won't be earning money at all while they recover.

Like the multi-talented, slaydhd king that they are, Subira's jobs are active and use their arms a lot, so it could take a while to get back to work.

This fundraiser is to raise money for them during their recovery time, to cover lost wages for 3 months and any extra medical costs that come along with surgery.

Now, more than ever, trans people need support in an increasingly hostile and oppressive society. Gender affirming surgery quite literally saves lives, but this shouldn't come at the cost of financial security!
