Subbu's ailing health expense & support to family

Gajalakshmi’s husband Subbu(Subramanian Gopalakrishnan) had a massive heart attack at their home in Plano, Texas, on the evening of January 8, 2022. Subbu’s heart stopped beating, and he was kept alive by CPR performed by his young son, a senior in high school, until the paramedics arrived and took over. Subbu needed to be resuscitated 3 times before he reached the ER. Once there, the doctors found that Subbu had a 100% blockage in an artery supplying his heart and performed an emergency stent procedure. Soon after this Subbu was moved to Baylor Heart Hospital and admitted to the cardiac ICU where he continues to be on advanced life support and is in a coma . Doctors on Subbu’s critical care team continue to assess him daily and have said that he has suffered brain damage, the full extent of which is not yet certain. Even after Subbu recovers, he will face long-term medical challenges and need extensive rehab and therapy.
 
Subbu is a 46-year-old husband to Gajalakshmi and a profoundly devoted Dad to his 2 young school-aged sons – 9 and 18 years old. He is a simple family man and enjoys listening to music, watching movies and spending time with his wife and sons. He is a Project manager with Cognizant technology and is the family's primary breadwinner. As you can imagine, this traumatic incident has shaken this young family’s foundation to the core. In addition to watching their beloved husband and father struggling to pull through this medical challenge, they are also facing astronomical medical bills and an uncertain and scary financial future.
