My parents recently faced a life-threatening battle with severe flu. Both had to be rushed to the hospital, and my mom’s condition worsened, leading to an ICU stay. She was diagnosed with influenza, sepsis, and a rare case of Neisseria meningitidis. While she is slowly recovering, she still has a long road ahead, including rehab and ongoing medical care.
