Hi I'm Shannon, owner of Jack's Natural Dog Products.  I have been donating to animal rescue groups for many years.  Animal rescues take in abandoned, injured, neglected and abused animals.  They care for them both physically and emotionally and are very needed in every community. 

From large rescues to individuals that turn their house into temporary shelters for animals, these rescues need help to keep going.   Some shelters work entirely off of donations and I believe we can give them a helping hand by donating some much needed items.    

This "Stuff the Bus for Animal Shelters" is my first fundraising event to raise items and money for animal rescue groups.   I am so pleased to be able to help out these groups.  Every penny raised will go directly to the animal shelters/rescue groups.  If you prefer to donate an item instead of money, you can go to my Facebook page and see the wish list of items that are needed.  My goal is to have a central place for donating and I will sort and package all the donations based on the wish lists of each rescue.  

The groups who will receive the money are primarily located between Winnipeg, Thunder Bay and Minnesota as this is my home area.  Groups such as Paws & Claws Canada which operates in the Rainy River District, Paws & Claws which operate in Koochiching County, Minnesota, It's a Dog's Life in Keewatin, Murillo Mutts near Thunder Bay, Borderland Humane Society in International Falls, MN, Winnipeg & Thunder Bay Humane Societies, etc.  There will also be packages that go east to Nova Scotia and to the Northwest Territories as well.  

It's not always possible to foster or adopt an animal in need of a home.  Donating to this fundraiser will allow these groups to continue caring for animals in need, and that makes us all part of the animal rescue team.
