Hi, my name is Silke and I am asking donations so I can go study art in Rome. I got selected as a winner from my motivation and portfolio. After years of exploring my talent and finding purpose in sharing light & hope with stories & art, I hopefully get to take the next step.

I am so grateful and excited to have been picked as a winner to come study art in Rome. This is the place where I found the motivation a few years ago.

I visited Italy to remember memories I had made with my mom. She passed away just before that, giving me a life or dead situation. I had not been truly happy before her passing, and this felt like the final straw. However, her way of living life - full of joy and selfless love - inspired me to being able to do the same; living a meaningful life.

When I started expressing myself through art, I found my purpose.

That has led to being accepted to my dream school, so I can go all-in on my talent and passion- leading to being a professional artist. Because I believe colours, art and stories are meant to be shared. They hold a healing power- able to awaken, spread light and bring hope.

Hope that life get's better - that life is worth it - to see the bright side!

Study: Painting & visual arts study at Naba in Rome

Duration: 3 yrs [Sep 21, 2026 - Jul 31, 2029]

The BA explores the transformation of contemporary art practices, connecting art with different areas of the production and social contexts. Relating to the dynamics and values of the contemporary art system, the programme reinterprets and expands the traditional academic approach to painting and visual arts, guiding students through experimentation, investigating a variety of environments, techniques and methods, which will support them in developing an individual way of expressing themselves and their personal artistic ideas.
