Hi everyone!
I am a high school junior. I am bright, curious, thoughtful and wise. I have accomplished many things in my academic career. To name a few, I am the founder and president of my school's Girl Up club, I was awarded the Hudson Johnson Scholarship, I have achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA and maintained a spot on the honor roll, I am skilled in computer coding and work a part time job.
My most recent accomplishment is I have been selected to participate in the 2017 Women in Science (WiSci) Girls STEAM Camp in Malawi! I will be spending 2 weeks at the Malawi University of Science and Technology learning STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics) with 100 other girls from the U.S. and various African countries.
I have been awarded a scholarship that covers all travel, room and board, and food expenses but there are many pre-program expenses that are not covered. I need to obtain immunizations, an international cellphone plan, a passport, luggage, spending money, etc. Any amount is appreciated!
I believe 2017 is the year for me to begin unraveling a new chapter in my life. God has some momentous things in store for me. With your help, I can ensure my success with this step of my journey!
