Studying Abroad in Chile!
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Morgan and I'm an environmental science student at UNT raising money to help pay the tuition and fees for my study abroad trip to the Cape Horn Biosphere Reserve in Southern Chile!
The UNT Tracing Darwin's Path trip is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore a rich, pristine, and exotic biocultural region filled with endemic birds, mosses, lichen, and insects! I'll be studying these species in their native habitat and working on projects that explore how humans interact with nature while earning college credit.
This trip would have an enormous impact on me, not just as a student and researcher, but also as a human being working towards making the world a better place. My ambition is to eventually earn a PhD and travel the world, studying pollution and how human impacts can be mitigated. This would be the first step that I take towards reaching that goal, and an incredible first experience conducting research abroad!
Any funds that you can donate would mean the world to me. Even contributing just a small amount or sharing this link would go a long way towards helping me realize my dream. The fees are due by January 5th, 2017, but I leave in December. The financial aid for next semester is barely paying for my normal classes as it is, so this trip is a definite financial strain.
Hopefully this fundraising campaign will help get me down to Chile and be the start of a full and productive career helping save our planet from environmental damage. Thank you for your support!
