Mia's Trip to Tokyo, Japan

Hi, my name is Mia Alba. I'm currently a sophomore at KIPP NYC College Prep.  This year I wanted to venture out and explore a new language, so I decided to take Japanese. I fell in love with the language and was curious about the Japanese culture. So through my school, I applied to a study abroad program to go to Tokyo, Japan and answer the many questions I have about Japanese customs and traditions. I picked the program because besides the 2 hours of learning the Japanese language, everyday we are going to be exploring the streets and taking field trips to the many beautiful and tradition sites of Japan. The cost of the program is $6,000. Through the program I was granted a $5,000 scholarship, but I still need help with my flight to Japan and other expenses.   Please consider donating so that I can indulge in this unique experience and bring back the knowledge that have gained from Japan, to my classmates and peers.
