My Study Abroad Trip
Donation protected
My name is Brittany Brock and I am a 24 year old graduate student at Texas Tech University. I am pursuing a Masters of Public Health. I am planning on studying abroad January 2015. I will be participating in the Intensive Spanish Language Semester at the University of Belgrano in Buenos Aires, Argentina. After I return from Argentina, I will continue my Masters of Public Health. One of my goals for the future is to join the Peace Corps. The Peace Corps offers a Masters International Program in which I will be able to complete a part of my degree with them. I want to be placed in Central or South America, so studying abroad would be very advantageous for me. Studying abroad will give me the semesters needed to fulfill the language requirements to allow me to be stationed in Central and South America. Studying abroad will strengthen me professionally, academically, and personally in many different ways. I am eager to learn a different language and Spanish is a language that would take me far in my career in the medical field. The cost of the program is quite expensive, and to be honest, it would be quite hard for me to cover this cost on my own. I work 70 hours a week and I go to graduate school full time, but even then, paying for it would be challenging. I have already paid my tuition in full, as well as purchased my round trip ticket. ( Hard work pays off!) Financial aid is helping some, and I will be saving money of my own, but I still need $2000 to help with the remainder of the cost. Studying abroad is a dream that I have always had, and now that I finally have the opportunity to do so, please help my dream come true!
