Study in Guyana

*Update! I’ve signed up for the course and am so thankful for all who have helped me raise the funds that are helping me to get there. I am now planning on giving prints of artwork and drawings made in Guyana to those who helped me raise the funds to go on the program as way to say thanks for the support! If I could still raise another $500 this will help out enormously!
I am hoping to raise some funds to be able participate in a RISD global travel program to Guyana in January! My goal is to raise $1,500. Any and all contributions to my gofundme would be very much appreciated!I am currently a senior, majoring in illustration at RISD. Since it is my last year at RISD, it will be my last chance to participate and learn from a RISD travel program. I first learned about the Guyana program when professor Lucy Spelman invited me to participate. Through talking to Dr. Spelman, I know that this program will allow me to more deeply explore many of my artistic interests and passions: how we relate to animals, what role art has in conservation, and how science can work together with art. I know that I would learn so much from this course and get so much out of being immersed in such a biodiverse country! Lucy Spelman, who runs this course, is a truly inspiring professor, and it would be so incredible to continue to learn from her as much as possible while I am still at RISD!
