Update:

I have received $6530 so far through this and other platforms. I am only $184 shy of raising enough to donate the same amount of Bibles (324 Bibles) to the 2 prisons that are requesting them again! I have adjusted the goal to reflect this

This overview is from last year when God first put it on my heart and told me this is what He wanted to do. I received enough donations to purchase 540 Bibles and got approval from 3 prisons and 2 regional jails to send them Bibles! I was contacted by 2 of the prisons this week asking for more Bibles because they have given out all of the Bible’s. The following overview is from last year but I reposted the overview because it explains the back story. Each Life Application Study Bible costs $21

First, let me say that the support tab title is generated by GoFund me and changes automatically periodically and I guess they pull it from the content of the overview. So even though the tab may say “Support Mark” or “Give to Mark”, this is not a fundraiser for Mark. It is for study Bibles for inmates housed at Northern Correctional Center.

My son, Mark, has been in prison since 2012. A couple of years ago, he gave his heart to Christ, and for the past almost 3 years, we have been trying to get approval to send him a study Bible. He was recently transferred to a different prison, and I’m happy to say that within the first 2 weeks of being at the new prison, the chaplain there approved the purchase!

All that back story to say that it is extremely difficult for inmates to get a study Bible of their own. There is access to check out a basic Bible from the library, but they can only keep it for a very short time.

I just received approval from the chaplain at Northern Correctional Center in Moundsville, WV (where Mark is now an inmate) to purchase enough study Bibles for each inmate to have their very own to keep!! There are a total of 583 inmates in this dual facility (prison and regional jail combined). My initial goal is to purchase study Bibles for the 253 prison inmates and anything over that number will be distributed among the inmates in the jail section. The total goal is $5313 but I am adjusting the GoFund Me goal as donations from other platforms come in so the amount still needed is accurate.

I am so pumped about this!! Just imagine what a good Bible in the hands of every inmate in that facility could do! Revival, redemption, restoration, and COMPLETE rehabilitation!!

Any donation, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated! Thank you for contributing and having a role in growing God’s Kingdom!
