Support Study Abroad Program on Human Trafficking - Cambodia
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Supporters,
As a professor at Trinity Law School, I have the privilege to teach a Study Abroad class on Human Trafficking in Cambodia this winter. It has been 10 years since I first visited my clients' hometown, once a destination for child prostitution, but now a community transformed by hope. Students will have a unique opportunity to visit former brothels that were shut down and converted to a school and workplace training facility for survivors of trafficking. We'll also learn about economic development opportunities that help vulnerable families combat labor trafficking. To understand the broader cultural context, we'll visit the tribunal responsible for prosecuting members of the Khmer Rouge for genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity, and grave breaches of the Geneva Conventions. This program will inspire students to develop their skills to better advocate and support at risk people at home or abroad.
I want to raise $5,000 to help offset some of the students' travel expenses. By faith, I hope we can reach this goal before December 31st. Would you consider donating today and sharing this opportunity with others who might be willing to help?
Thank you for your prayers and support for our class!
