Study Abroad in Rome -Julius Caesar Site Specific

Hi! My name is Miranda. I'm a junior BFA Acting Major with a minor in directing at Oklahoma City University. I have the opportunity to spend five and a half weeks in Rome studying Advanced Shakespearean Acting with Professor Lance Marsh and Ancient Roman History and its Monuments with a faculty member of John Cabot University, and perform a site-specific production of Julius Caesar.
The program fee is $6,966. This includes:
- Application Fee
- 3 hours of John Cabot University tuition
- Student housing at John Cabot University
- 20-meal plan
- OCU Faculty Expenses and Production Fee
- Weekend excursion in Venice, Verona, or Alamfi Coast
- Airport pick up on published arrival date
What is not included is:
- Obtaining a passport (and related travel documentation)
- Flights
- Additional meals
- Evening and weekend excursions
- Personal expenses
- GoFundMe 3% fee
The payment breakdown and trip dates are:
- ASAP, $75 application fee
- Feb 10th 2023, $1000 nonrefundable study abroad fee
- April 14th 2023, $1000 nonrefundable housing deposit to John Cabot University
- April 30th 2023, The remaining $4,741 to John Cabot University
- May 16th 2023, Depart US for Rome
- June 24th 2023, Depart Rome for US

Being able to go on this trip would mean the world to me. I've never been able to travel outside the US. I adore studying Shakespeare and theatre history. The education I'd get from this trip would be unbelievable. The idea that it would even be possible for me for travel to go on a trip like this is incredibly exciting. I'll be applying for scholarships within and outside of the school. I hope you can help me with the opportunity. Every little bit helps.
