Study Abroad at Singapore Management University

Hi everyone! My name is Caroline Gefferie and I am currently a 2nd year undergraduate student at the VU Amsterdam. It has been my dream to study abroad and especially in Asia. Last year I signed up for a study abroad program to follow in my 3rd year of university and got accepted for an exchange to Singapore Management University in Singapore. This program will be lasting for a total of 5 months (starting from August-ending in December). In this program I will follow different subjects relating to my major subject in the Netherlands, Law. This will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience and a great opportunity to get some insight in a whole different culture and become more independent.

Since Singapore is one of the most expensive countries in Asia, I am struggling to get all the funds together. The entire cost is estimated to be around €7000. Any donations given will help with the flight, tuition, accommodation, school utilities, food and learning adventures. Hi allemaal, mijn naam is Caroline Gefferie en ik zit nu in mijn 2e bachelor jaar Rechten op de Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Het is al een aantal jaar mijn droom om in het buitenland te studeren en vorig jaar heb ik eindelijk de kans gekregen om me daarvoor in te schrijven. Ik ben zo blij om geaccepteerd te zijn om te studeren bij Singapore Management University (Singapore). Dit programma zal in totaal 5 maanden duren, vanaf augustus tot en met December. Tijdens dit programma zal ik verschillende vakken volgen die gerelateerd zijn aan mijn Nederlandse studie rechten. Dit is een once-in-a-lifetime ervaring en een geweldige kans om meer inzicht te verkrijgen in de Zuidoost-Aziatische en Singaporese cultuur en mijn zelfredzaamheid te ontwikkelen.

Aangezien Singapore een van de duurste steden in Azië is heb ik een beetje moeite om alle geldmiddelen bij elkaar te krijgen. De totale kosten van de hele trip is geschat rond de €7000. Alle gegeven donaties zullen helpen bij de vlucht, collegegeld, accommodatie, schoolvoorzieningen, eten en leeravonturen.
