Studio Damage at Sound in Motion
Donation protected
The Sound in Motion Music and Dance Studio opened in the Northridge Community in the fall of 2010. For the past 11 years, the studio has been providing a place for students of all ages to explore their love of the arts. They believe in creating a fun and positive learning atmosphere. Their amazing team of instructors strengthens students’ focus, perseverance, and resiliency through traditional and contemporary teachings in performing arts. The Sound in Motion performances, and involvement in charity events, provide many opportunities each year for our community to come together to celebrate the arts.
On Christmas Eve while doing a site check at the studio, they discovered a sewage back-up from the floor drain in the bathroom. Sadly the damage is extensive and has resulted in half of the dance floor being cut away and removed, along with floors and parts of walls in other parts of the studio. Over the past two months, they have been working through this issue, but ultimately it comes down to Sound in Motion's responsibility to rebuild. The students and families of Sound in Motion have inspired them to persevere, just like they have asked students to do so many times on that very dance floor.
This amazing studio needs our help to rebuild so they can continue to support and foster the love of the performing arts for the Sound in Motion community.

Who am I? I am the mom of three dancers at Sound in a Motion Studio. We have been a family with studio for 10 years in London, Ontario.
The funds collected will be used to rebuild the dance floor, replacing laminate floors in hallways and music studio and rebuilding walls. Each week an etransfer will be made to the studio so they can start rebuilding.
